- December 24, 2024I bought the Elite Flipper radically curved curves at a show in Oklahoma. I was so impressed I absolutely couldn’t get the wonderful texturizing shears out of my mind. Cowboy had allowed me to try them but I had to make a decision. Since I have a Standard Poodle I went with the curves. The texturizing shears are my Christmas. Cowboy has the BEST prices on these too of the line shears.

- June 6, 2024I’ve been using Above shears for over a year now, and wouldn’t buy another brand. In fact I have exchanged my all my old shears for these. They have changed my grooms drastically. They are so well balanced, resulting in not having hand/wrist/arm pain at all. Cowboy is just as wonderful!! His customer service couldn’t be better!! He is very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He’s by far the best sharpener/supplier I’ve come across in my 13+ years of grooming. I love when he comes in!

- January 28, 2024I spent this weekend grooming my standard poodle at cowboys space. I used every shear he has for grooming and woke up today without any pain in my hand. By far the best shears ! I have over 100 pair of kenchi which is rather sell than use again! Run don’t walk for these! Money well spent.

I found Robert, The Cowboy's, website last year and purchased the 4 shears that Robert thought I needed. I have used these shears over the past year almost exclusively for grooming my show standard poodles. Although I have multiple other shears by Chris Christensen & Kenechi, the Above are by far my favorite! Robert is a great resource to help tackle all your grooming needs!

He doesn’t pressure you into any purchases like a normal salesman does. He takes the time to show you how his shears work. Knowing that he sits on the board also makes a huge difference because he listens to our concerns and presents them to the other board members to help us as cosmetologist get exactly what we need/want.

As for the shears, I have always been a snob with a single brand, but the quality of the Above shears has gotten me to switch my favorites! Fr though y’all, Ive regretfully used a lot of sharpener before the Cowboy. He has many times come and checked my shears and said they don’t need sharpening at his OWN profit loss. I’ve never been more happy with sharpening and have purchased my last 4 pairs of shears from him. Robert is a true GEM!

I went to grooming school about 11 years ago and while I was taught to hand scissor most of my dogs (as I still do) I wasn’t taught much about my equipment or the care that it needs. I learn something new every time cowboy comes to either fix or sharpen my things. Very very knowledgeable and kind. Hard to find wisdom and kindness all in one these days. I just bought the curved thinners from him and I am in love. Again, as someone who loves to hand scissor, these are a fantastic finishing touch for a standard poodle top knot! I suggest everyone at least give cowboy a chance because you won’t regret it!
